Premiere of Season 9 – Laverock Hill Estate
Last Sunday’s episode showed the Dawgs in Glenside, PA, just outside of Philly, salvaging a 1915 mansion known as “Laverock Hill Estate”, previously named “Sims Estate”. The structure was built by famed, self-taught architect, Chris Platt, who is known for his design of the Freer Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. They performed this job with Janet & Tracy, the mother/daughter salvage team behind Hartland Salvage and Mike of Hartland Demolition to ensure as much as possible was saved from demolition.
This episode features a complete dining room, a gorgeous marble mantel, steel and bronze double doors, drop in bathtubs, white tiles, Tuscan-style columns, and MUCH more!
Every Sunday, following the premiere of each episode, join us on Facebook where we’ll go LIVE! We’ll relive memories from the job, answer your questions, and share stories about things you didn’t see!
