Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Retail Associate to join our team and play a crucial role in our retail business operations. This position combines responsibilities in shipping and receiving, warehouse logistics, sales, inventory management, item creation, power equipment operation, and general business functions. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, maintain a clean and organized workplace, and provide exceptional customer service to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving: Efficiently handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Prepare packages, verify contents, and maintain shipping records.
Warehouse Logistics: Organize and maintain the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility. Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with merchandise organization.
Sales: Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, offering assistance and product information. Actively contribute to achieving sales targets and upsell when appropriate.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and assist in restocking products. Ensure accurate labeling and pricing of items.
Item Creation: Create new product listings as necessary, including accurate descriptions, pricing, and images, in our systems or online platforms.
Power Equipment Operation: Safely operate power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other machinery as required. Adhere to safety guidelines and conduct equipment inspections.
General Business Functions: Assist in daily business operations, including cashier duties, answering phones, and addressing customer inquiries.
Safety and Cleanliness: Uphold a safe working environment by following safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a pleasant shopping environment for customers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in retail, warehousing, or similar roles preferred.
Ability to operate power equipment and machinery safely.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Customer-focused with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
