Parking Note
Parking is available in our main lot (formerly Virginia Avenue SW), alongside our building on Spottswood Avenue SW, and behind our building on Midvale Avenue SW. We recommend RVs/fifth wheels and tour buses park on Midvale Avenue SW.

From Interstate 81
- Take Roanoke exit 143 for 581/220S
- Approximately 6-7 miles take Orange Avenue West exit.
- Take a left on 10th Street.
- Take a right on Salem Ave.
- Proceed along Salem Ave. to 13th street intersection.
- Take a left on 13th Street and continue for approx. 6 blocks.
- Immediately prior to crossing Memorial Bridge (Roanoke River) look for a large two-story yellow brick building. Turn left into our parking lot. Our Main Entrance is located halfway through the parking lot via the wooden deck.
From Route 220
- Proceed North on 220 to downtown Roanoke (220 becomes 581 as the highway passes downtown).
- Passing the downtown, take Orange Ave. exit West. At bottom of loop off-ramp, move immediately to the left lane.
- Take a left at 1st light on Gainsboro Road.
- Proceed along Gainsboro towards downtown to third traffic light.
- Take a right on Salem Ave.
- Proceed along Salem Ave. to 13th street intersection.
- Take a left on 13th Street and continue for approx. 6 blocks.
- Immediately prior to crossing Memorial Bridge (Roanoke River) look for a large two-story yellow brick building. Turn left into our parking lot. Our Main Entrance is located halfway through the parking lot via the wooden deck.
From Route 419 – (Salem VA)
- Proceed east towards Roanoke along Apperson Drive. Apperson becomes Brandon Ave. in several miles.
- Take a left onto Grandin Road at the intersection of Brandon and Grandin Road.
- Proceed approx. 1 mile to Grandin Village. At the traffic light (Grandin Rd. terminates) take a right onto Memorial Ave.
- Proceed 5-6 blocks and cross Memorial Bridge (Roanoke River).
- At the eastern end of Memorial Bridge is a large two-story yellow brick building. Take right into the Black Dog Salvage parking lot. Our Main Entrance is located halfway through the parking lot via the wooden deck.
From Route 419 & 221 Intersection – (Cave Spring Corners)
- At Cave Spring Corners proceed along Brambleton Ave east towards Roanoke.
- At 1st traffic light take left onto Garst Mill Road.
- Proceed along Garst Mill Road. Garst Mill becomes Grandin Road after several miles.
- Proceed on Grandin until entering Grandin Village. At the traffic light (Grandin Rd. terminates) take right onto Memorial Ave.
- Proceed 5-6 blocks and cross Memorial Bridge (Roanoke River).

From 460 East – (Bedford, Lynchburg)
- Proceed along Route 460 into Roanoke. 460 is marked as Orange Ave. locally. Cross under Interstate spur 581 and take left at the 1st traffic light onto Gainsboro Road.
- Proceed along Gainsboro towards downtown to third traffic light.
- Take a right on Salem Ave.
- Proceed along Salem Ave. to 13th street intersection.
- Take a left on 13th Street and continue for approx. 6 blocks.
