Texas Tavern Sign

Own the Iconic Texas Tavern Sign

Texas Tavern sign to be auctioned!

The Texas Tavern sign will be featured in episode 610 (Season 6, ep 10) of Salvage Dawgs. The Black Dog Salvage crew removed the iconic Texas Tavern sign from the 1930’s era diner in Downtown Roanoke.  The Texas Tavern, also known as Roanoke’s Millionaires Club, has repainted their “HAMBURGERS CONEY ISLAND HOTDOGS” sign to reflect nominal price increases over the years.  The price jump from $1.25 to $1.40 was cause for a new sign and the owners of Texas Tavern invited Black Dog Salvage to join forces for a good cause.

The Black Dog Salvage custom design shop framed the sign with reclaimed barn wood and added a ledge, supported with salvaged rail road spikes.  It is ready to hang, spans just over 11 feet, and is nearly the width of the Texas Tavern itself!

All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Virginia Veteran and Family Support (formerly Virginia Wounded Warrior Program).
