a wooden table

Maker of the Month – September

Congratulations to September’s “Maker of the Month”, Steve Gironda!

Steve G.

For this upcycled dining table, Steve took apart a heavy duty pallet and repurposed its components to craft this classic farm-style table.

Here’s the story of Steve’s creation his own words:

“For this project, I used a heavy duty pallet.  Yep, that is it!  It weighed a ton.  I knocked the outside corners off of the legs to save toes.  Toes matter!  I used my drills, one for screwing and one for pre-drilling the holes, 2” coarse screws, a compound miter saw, an orbital sander, a hand plane, a square, a tape measure, and a hammer and punch to sink the nails while I hand planed the top.  Oh, and I also used safety glasses and a dust mask.  Simple yet very functional.”

Here are some additional pictures of the build in progress:

Thank you for sharing your craftsmanship with us and the rest of the world, Steve.  Enjoy your new KEEN Utility boots!
